Den sista etappen av programmet, denna omfattande kurs kombinerar avancerade gomkirurgitekniker med expertis i att hantera temporomandibulära led- och spottkörtelstörningar. Byggande på de färdigheter som förvärvats i Oral Surgery 2 och 4, kommer du att lära dig invecklade reparationer av gomdefekter, hantering av TMJ-luxationer och körtelresektioner för olika tillstånd.

Palatalkirurgi – Nivå 3
• Surgical repair of acute midline palate defects
• Surgical repair of caudal hard palate defects
• Axial pattern flaps and alternatives for palate defect repair
• Partial palatectomy and access to nasal cavity/nasopharynx
• Surgical options for elongated/thickened soft palate

Temporomandibular Joint & Salivary Gland surgery
• Surgical anatomy of relevant muscles, bones, joints and glands
• Common causes for difficulty opening or closing the mouth
• Common disorders of salivary glands and their ducts
• Management of masticatory muscle myositis (including biopsy)
• Management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) luxation
• Management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) ankylosis
• Management of open-mouth jaw locking (OMJL)
• Resection of mandibular/sublingual glands
• Resection of the parotid gland and parotid duct
• Resection of the zygomatic gland
