IMPROVE YOUR PRACTICAL SKILLS IN ANIMAL DENTISTRY

This is for veterinarians planning to become board certified specialists in veterinary dentistry i.e Diplomates. Based on availability, those with extensive experience and would like feedback on their work may partici-pate. The first day is devoted to lectures and demonstrations. The following days consist of practical examinations during the morn-ing sessions followed by evaluations of performed procedures in the afternoon.

This course will give you the skills to manage the most common types of malocclusion in dogs and cats. You will take impressions, make a bite registration, manufacture acrylic appliances and plan and fit active appliances..

This course will review techniques for routine and complicated extractions in dogs and cats. It will mainly focus on the avoidance and management of possible procedural complications (e.g., root fracture, oronasal (ONF) and oroorbital (OOF) communications) and the management of possible pre-existing conditions that may complicate extractions.

How to make bone cutting precise and safe in oral, maxillofacial & ENT surgery- This three-day course will be composed of fundamental lectures and hands on practical sessions that will allow participants to use Piezotome™ units (Acteongroup/Satelec) in different clinical situations.

This course covers periodontal and palate surgery techniques. Participants will learn about periodontal disease management, including surgeries and flap designs, as well as palate repair techniques and prosthetic device fabrication.

This intense course provides attendees that have already completed Dentistry I and II (or have comparable experience), with an addi-tional in-depth knowledge of diseases in the endodontic system – what these are, how to diagnose them and what materials and techniques are required for an appropriate treatment.

This course for those with previous knowledge of Part I. It continues with an in-depth study of extraction techniques, evaluation of malocclusions and orthodontic devices, diagnosis and treatment of traumatic injuries on both feline and canine teeth and jaw. Analysis of the participants own case-studies created after Dentistry I.

During this course you will build knowledge from Endodontics I and deepening your theoretical knowledge and further developing the practical skills required to perform modern endodontic treatment and restorative dentistry on dogs with more advanced techniques.

This course will provide you with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills that you need to perform high quality care of feline patients with the most common oral and dental problems. Theoretical lectures are alternated with practical procedures. Course participants will, under supervision, work in pairs during the laboratory sessions.

Building upon the knowledge from Oral Surgery 1, this advanced course delves deeper into slightly more complex procedures for treating oral tumors and traumatic injuries.

This course further refines techniques in periodontal and palate surgery learned in Oral Surgery 2. You will explore advanced periodontal treatments, including grafting and guided tissue regeneration, as well as palate repair techniques.

Designed as an advanced course building upon Oral Surgery 1 and 3, this module covers intricate procedures like subtotal mandibulectomy and maxillectomy, as well as advanced wound closure techniques using axial pattern flaps. Tailored for experienced practitioners. You will gain expertise in managing complex cases in oral oncology and trauma.

The final stage of the program, this comprehensive course combines advanced palate surgery techniques with expertise in managing temporomandibular joint and salivary gland disorders. Building on the skills aquired in Oral Surgery 2 and 4, you will learn intricate palate defect repairs, TMJ luxation management, and glandular resections for various conditions.

The course will review the physiologic processes involved in tooth movement. It will cover the most common malocclusions in dogs and cats as well as the techniques employed to correct them. During the course, you will be exposed to the use of incline planes, acrylic extensions, universal screws, W wires, labial bars, buttons, brackets, and elastic chains. During the labs, one will learn to build those various appliances.
