Feline Dentistry I - 3 days

This course will provide you with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills that you need to perform high quality care of feline patients with the most common oral and dental problems. Theoretical lectures are alternated with practical procedures. Course participants will, under supervision, work in pairs during the laboratory sessions.

Theoretical topics:
• Anatomy and physiology of the feline oral cavity
• Oral examination and recording of findings
• Radiography and drawing up a treatment plan
• Feline periodontal diseases
• Resorptive lesions
• Chronic gingivostomatitis
• Coronal amputation and extraction technique
• Extraktor technique

Practical/interactive:
• Oral examination and recording of findings
• Full mouth radiographs and drawing up a treatment plan
• Remedial actions relating to examination
• Radiography and treatment planning
• Perform required periodontal therapy
• Crown amputation
• Full mouth extraction
• Evaluation of cases/procedures (interactive session)
• Complications after extractions
